Instruction
- We offer several courses related to
climbing. Beginning climbers will benefit
from taking the Rock Intro course.
This course focuses on fundamental skills
for safe climbing and prepares you to follow
and clean pitches. For those wishing to set
up top rope climbs the next course would be
the Anchors Seminar. The anchors
seminar will also prepare you for the next
step, Traditional Leading. The traditional
leading course focuses on teaching you the
skills and judgment to safely lead traditionally
protected routes. The final course is Multipitch
Climbing. Here the skills of anchoring
and single pitch climbing are combined with
the new skills of climbing longer routes.
Take the Movement Skills course at
any time, to improve your climbing movement
skills. You can take any of these course privately
or get your climbing partners together for
a personalize course.

Seminars
–Our seminars are designed
for instructing larger groups on topics such
as judgment and decision-making, risk management,
instructional techniques and technical skills. For
camps, we can do a climbing instruction seminar
for your climbing staff that instructs on
technical skills necessary for managing risk
in climbing. AMI can set up a program
for your organization to develop judgment
and improve risk management.
AMGA SPI
courses -AMI can provide the American
Mountain Guides Association Single Pitch Instructor
training. If you work for organizations that
lead climbing trips or guide climbing trips,
this is the course for you. You will learn
how to function safely in single pitch terrain
in a commerical setting. Taking this course
and passing the exam will grant you AMGA SPI
certification.
